In a sleepy mountain town, a wickedness awakens…

Jess Ballard’s recent adventures with the witches of Sedgwick Cove
have made one thing perfectly, frighteningly clear: the threats to the
spirit world are far more varied and perilous than the Durupinen had
ever imagined. And so, when a strange anomaly appears on the map of
the world’s Gateways, Jess knows they can’t ignore it. The Trackers
will have to investigate, regardless of the danger.

Aided by some old ghost-hunting friends, Jess and Hannah travel to a
tiny town in Tennessee called Fortune’s Fall under the guise of
filming a paranormal investigation. For months, not a single spirit
has Crossed through the Geatgrima hidden in the mountains nearby, and
it’s their unenviable task to discover why. But as they face the
uniquely terrifying horrors that haunt the woods of Appalachia, they
soon realize that the sleepy little town they’ve visited has
malevolent secrets of its own.

Will Jess and Hannah be able to help the spirits of Fortune’s Fall? Or
will the town’s own demons swallow them up in a darkness as deep and
old as the mountains themselves?
